SONY PS-Q7 Vintage Direct Drive Stereo Hi-Fi Turntable 1982

Very rare and desirable turntable from the early 1980’s.

This vintage Sony PS-Q7 turntable is a great addition to any music enthusiast's collection. Made in Japan in 1982, it features direct drive and stereo L/R RCA audio outputs for high-quality sound. The turntable has 45RPM and 33.3RPM speed settings, and comes in a sleek silver colour. Measuring 5cm in height, 21.5cm in length and 22cm in width, it's compact and easy to store.

In amazing condition, especially considering its age. Only some very minor signs of wear present. Has a very tiny little crack on the plastic cover of the cartridge as seen in the photos but this can barely be seen especially when the stylus is fitted. Doesn't affect sound at all.

Had a brand new drive belt fitted inside.

Works well but will require a new stylus ( accidentally knocked the olds one cleaning the machine and broke it). These can be found on eBay for around £25.

As mentioned above the motor is working well and have tested it with an LP and the speed control works and is stable after a good clean of the switch. The start/stop is not working however. When you press the button nothing happens at all. I suspect when changing the belt the mechanism is not lined up properly now ( or similar) as it was working slowly with the old belt.

Could be an easy fix and this is definitely one of the best condition ones i have seen of these so will be a lovely example when done.
