LPs ARE EVALUATED ONLY VISUALLY UNDER BRIGHT LIGHT.
In the evaluation we always try to be “CAUTIOUS” and we almost never use “MINT”,
as we believe that only a new, sealed and recently released record can have
the characteristics to be defined as MINT.
LPs are graded visually and conservatively under bright lights.
LPs ARE RATED ACCORDING TO THE "RECORD COLLECTOR" RATING SYSTEM
as follows:
SS = Still Sealed: Disc still sealed.
M = Mint: Perfect record, new vinyl with no marks. Perfect cover and inner envelope,
no signs of wear.
NM = Near Mint: Very small defects, some signs of use on the cover, but handled with care
a lot of care. The vinyl sounds perfect, almost like new.
EX = Excellent: It shows some signs of more marked use which do not affect its quality,
both on the cover and on the vinyl. There may be some small defects.
VG = Very Good: Still looking good, but may have signs of wear
like light marks or scratches, although it sounds fine with the occasional click or pop.
Possible light rustling and creaking noises that are not persistent.
The cover may have signs of wear on the spine, slight scuffing at the edges,
light traces of ring wear, small stickers or small writing.
G = Good: Noticeable cracks and pops when listening, marked wear on the cover.
Heavily used disc with marked noise or badly damaged but does not skip.
Cover worn and/or stains and/or writings and/or tears but no missing parts.
F = Fair: A record that is still playable but has not been treated with care and presents considerable noises.

P = Poor: Very scratched disc, with strong background noise and skipping in several places.

THE COVER AND ANY EXTRA ITEMS ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION.
NEAR MINT: IN BRAND NEW CONDITION WITH NO SURFACE MARKS OR DETERIORATION
IN SOUND QUALITY.
COVER AND CONTENTS NEARLY PERFECT.
EXCELLENT: THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED, BUT THERE IS
VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY.
THE COVER AND PACKAGING MIGHT HAVE SLIGHT WEAR AND / OR CREASING.
VERY GOOD+ = BETTER THAN VERY GOOD: OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED BUT NO SIGNIFICANT
DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY DESPITE LIGHT SURFACE MARKS.
VERY LITTLE WEAR AND TEAR ON COVER AND CONTENTS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS.
VERY GOOD: THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS
NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, EXCEPT NOTICABLE SURFACE MARKS
AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH.
NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER OR EXTRA ITEMS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS,
IS ACCEPTABLE.
GOOD: THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SO MUCH THAT THE SOUND QUALITY HAS NOTICEABLE
DETERIORATED, PERHAPS WITH SOME DISTORTION AND MILD SCRATCHES.
THE COVER AND CONTENTS SUFFER FROM FOLDING, SCUFFING OF EDGES, SPINE SPLITS,
DISCOLORATION, ETC.
FAIR: STILL JUST PLAYABLE BUT HAS NOT BEEN CARED FOR PROPERLY AND DISPLAYS
CONSIDERABLE SURFACE NOISE - IT MAY EVEN JUMP.
