***ATTENTION OWNERS for these 2.5 models** BEFORE installing these ignition coils, please check all grounds.
It is a very common problem with these vehicles for the negative ground cable to corrode or break loose, causing
damage to the main engine control module (ECM), and/or damage to the ignition coils. Bad grounds can even cause an electrical vehicle fire!
Please make sure these items are in good working order:
-Check ALL grounds!!
-ECM (Engine Control Module-main computer)
Failure of the ignition coils as a result of these being faulty is not covered under the product warranty. If the ground wire is broken, you MUST test the ECM. The ECM can be damaged from a broken ground cable, and as a result will burn the coils early.
If your coils appear to be scorched/melted, your vehicle has a severe grounding problem. It must be solved immediately to avoid further damage to the new coils, ECM unit, and to avoid an electrical vehicle fire!!

Helpful tips on this product
Silicone dielectric grease: The silicone dielectric grease is used to make installation and removal of the coils easier. It also helps to keep moisture away from the ignition coil and the spark plug. This helps to prolongs the life of the coil and the spark plug as well.
Application: Apply a THIN amount on the BOTTOM PART OF THE INSIDE of the boot of each coil ( the part that contacts the ceramic portion of the spark plug). *Do not use the entire packet on one coil! ONE packet is sufficient for an 8 cylinder tune up. Our packets are sized for each tune-up or repair.
