Pine tar is the end product of pine wood carbonization following distillation using extreme heat. Pine tar has been used in medicine for more than 2000 years to treat a range of skin conditions because of its soothing and antiseptic properties. Pine tar is thought to exert its effect by reducing DNA synthesis and mitotic activity, which promotes a return to normal keratinization. In addition, pine tar has been shown to be antipruritic, anti‐inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal. These properties make pine tar suitable for the topical treatment of eczema, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis and other dry, itchy, flaky or inflamed skin conditions.

This handmade salve is applied to irritated, dry, and rough skin that needs proper care & softening. Perfect for sensitive areas like heels, elbows, hands, and knees.

Pine tar, the key ingredient, heals damaged skin and properly treats it after burns. This amazing remedy will help to get rid of rough areas on hands often caused by hard manual work. Activated charcoal, made from special types of wood like pine, spruce, and oak, is enriched with unique components got from these trees. It easily blocks inflammation and soothes the skin. Calendula has been proven to reduce inflammation and preventing skin dermatitis. Comfrey leaf has anti inflammatory and analgesic effects. Comfrey also stimulates tissue regeneration, and speeds healing. Lavender essential oil is responsible for skin disinfection and inflammation removal. It also delivers an antifungal effect.
