RARE
Imperial Marigold Carnival Glass 2 Handled Footed Bowl Dish 8 1/2" Long x
4 1/4" Wide x 3 1/4" High.
From David Doty's excellent web site:
Star and File can be
identified by its large 8-pointed star on a hexagonal shape with file panels
between each star. Apparently a popular pattern in its day as it was made in
so many shapes. However, the only shapes to come to market regularly are the
celery vase (sometimes called a chalice) and the rosebowl ………
Also from David Doty courtesy of Bob Smith:
This
pattern was made from the 1900 teen years right up until the middle1920s. ……..The
vast majority of this pattern has a nice dark marigold color although some
other colors have been found in a few shapes.
