For sale a Vintage Tamiya Wild Willy M38 1980s 58035 LWB Long Wheel Base Original

Here for sale is an original 1980’s Tamiya Wild Willy M38 Long Wheelbase.

It is 100% complete as the LWB version and is in very nice overall condition, though has been previously used so expect some minor wear & tear. Chassis underneath and diff are both really good.

The bumper has been replaced, rubber switch cover, etc and any other little missing parts, screws, etc. There's nothing broken off or missing from it.

It has not been fully restored but has had a clean up and some small repairs including the front grille (winch is now mounted screwed through the rad as well to add strength). Repainted driver, the jerry can, spare wheel, winch, etc.

It has been originally painted gold but areas of the paint had cracked / crazed. It had flaked off on some parts, which has been touched in, then 'weathered it' all rather than strip all the paint and decals off.

The stickers / decals that are on it are 100% its original ones - with the exception of the repro one on the spare wheel.

Tyres are ok, though 1 or 2 of them are starting to perish and are all part worn.

The black radio box lid has developed some white marks in the plastic, around the switch housing, over time but is solid, intact with no cracks etc.

No radio gear included (as didn’t work!) but the original speed controller is there, as well as the servo horns for the speed controller link rod and the ‘hard to find’ steering bobbin / peg needed. Also a pair of new sticky pads for mounting the servos.

It comes with its original 7.2v hump battery, though is untested and I wouldn’t advise using due to age.  A printed copy of the build manual is included too.

It's not mint but it’s complete and a great model, with character.
