Functional but it's a rough crank. Probably best used decoratively. Aluminum has denting. Please see photos for details. 

Please remember this is a very, very old metal kitchen tool that was intended to be and was used daily. It has rust. It is dented. There are places where it's not very clean and probably never will be, despite all cleaning efforts. These are not faults, it is the nature of antiques, especially cast iron. *This IS a vintage item with the possibility of more than one owner. It may have come in contact with pet dander, perfume, cigarette smoke or other allergens. Please take this into consideration before purchasing.
