KNOW YOUR WOODS BY A. CONSTANTINE JR. SIGNED 1959 1ST EDITION HC DJ.  I am pleased to offer: “Know Your Woods—Their Identification, Properties and Uses” by Albert Constantine Jr.   This small hard cover book (5 ¾ x 8 ¾ inches, 384 pages) was published by the Home Craftsman Publishers of New York dated 1959 and the First Edition.  It is flat-signed by the Author on the front endpaper.  This book is bound in maroon boards with gilt titles on the spine and protected by a printed paper dust jacket.  Please see the photo of the Table of Contents for your further information.  The book is well illustrated throughout including a fold-out composite mosaic of 60 woods one should know in color.

Condition:  This book is in very good condition.  The dust jacket shows a good deal of edge wear to the top edge with small chips and tears.  The hard covers have some smudges to the finish but are generally clean and unbumped.  Inside, there is a former owner’s inked name on the front endpaper just below the Author’s signature but these are the only marks I found.  The interior pages and plates are clean and bright without toning or foxing except at the endpapers where the acids of the binding glues have had an effect.  Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound.  This book is not ex-library or a remainder.

Shipping:  This book will be very carefully packed, with bubble wrap and with solid cardboard for their protection and promptly mailed upon payment.  Please note that I do not charge for packing and handling; all you pay is the postage.  Media mail postage for this small-sized hard cover book will be only $4.30.  Within the US for domestic mailings, combined shipping for multiple purchases is gladly offered.

The eBay site has become so popular that it is difficult to find your way back to a seller with an interesting array of listings.  Please consider “book-marking” my site so you can see a constantly changing inventory of other truly vintage books and/or collectible works.

Please also be aware that all my current listings are “spring-summer-fall” listings held here in New York State.  Once it starts getting cold again, say December, I will head back to Florida for the winter season and switch out these listings for another catalogue of different books held there.

Please don’t hesitate to send any questions; I will monitor closely and respond promptly.  Thanks, and enjoy.
