The Allen RS Tera racing outhaul pack comes with everything you need to give the best racing outhaul upgrade for your Tera.
The pack includes a block spliced onto the primary line as well as a soft shackle to make installation easy.
You are required to tie two knots for this set up on the end of the boom.
The pack also includes a clew tie down which utilises an Allen dog bone for ease of use.
Includes elastic take up line with snap shackle.
This pack works best with the Allen RS Tera racing vang pack as it allows for better installation of the outhaul control line.
The pack uses Marlow rope and Allen dynamic blocks.
Allen Tera Outhaul Pack Installation
Thread the Dyneema of block 1 through the hole in the clew fitting at the end of the boom and tie a stopper knot to keep the block as close to the end of the boom as possible. You can cut of any excess rope once you are certain the knot is tight and wont slip.
Thread the end of rope 2 through the block now installed on the end of the boom (block 1), through the clew of the sail and then tie a stopper knot in the end. Hook the stopper knot to the end of the boom.
Undo the soft shackle on block 3, feed it around the lacing eye at the inboard end of the boom and then re-attach the shackle.
Take the blue rope and attach the spliced loop over the peg of the clam cleat on the boom. Feed the other end of the rope through block 2, run back and through block 3. If you also have the allen tera vang pack then also feed the blue rope through the top thimble of the vang pack.
Part 7 can then be tied to the end of the control line as a plastic handle.
Feed the spliced loop with dog bone through the clew of the sail, around the boom and hook the dog bone. This is the clew strap.
Tie a bowline around the lacing eye at the inboard end of the boom. The snap shackle clips onto the clew strap to act as a take up.
