WW2 Air Ministry issued pilots chronographs are quite rare and only issued for special operations. Most issued are, as this one is, by Pierce of Switzerland. This one on offer is still in good condition with excellent original black dial, original handset and original red sweep that has been later washed in white. The case bezel has lost all its original plate, but the mid-section retains almost all the chrome plate, the back being stainless steel. The watch is in working order including setting and resetting to zero, however the centre sweep second does stop at 12 once a complete cycle has run but a gentle tap will move it on. The watch may require an upto date service.  Fitted on a good bonklip style steel strap. Diameter 33.5mm excluding pushers and crown and approx 14mm deep.  A rare issued RAF pilots watch.
