This listing is for a used pair of Cerwin Vega HF7 horn tweeters, removed from a pair of DX-7 speakers I have parted out. These were also used in the DX-9. This is a heavier duty version of the tweeter used in the DX-5 & DX-3. I removed the old ferrofluid from the tweeters & cleaned the voice coil gaps. I then installed new ferrofluid & diaphragms. Tweeters were then tested with music & a multi meter. They sound great! Impedance is 8 ohms & DCR = 7.2 each.
It is very common for these tweeters to develop cracks in the plastic faceplate around the mounting screw holes. I have applied Loc-Tite Industrial Strength Super Glue Gel around all of the mounting screw holes.
