Fretless guitars can be difficult to get used to but can also offer some advantages, including:
-- Sound range – producing a wider range of sounds, including some outside of the Western music scale (used in Indian, Persian, Turkish, and Arabic, music for example).
-- Smooth fingerboard - lack of frets allows for smoother sliding up and down the fingerboard, which can create a rich sound.
-- Flexible tuning - a note hit sharp or flat can can simply be adjusted by a slide of the finger.
-- Creativity – there is allowance for more creative exploration, such as microtonal harmonies, folk melodies, and different temperaments.
-- Expressive techniques – being fretless can also allow for more expressive techniques, such as glissando and vibrato.

THE BODY

The Jackson JS32Q Dinky delivers rock-solid aggressive metal tone with its high-output pickups. That’s because Jackson equips the JS32Q Dinky with a pair of their custom-built ceramic-magnet humbuckers in HH configuration. These high-output proprietary humbuckers give you plenty of punch and serious bite whether you’re plugging into a tube amp or using amp modeling.

The Jackson hardtail bridge offers excellent tuning stability, even if you exploit your strings with aggressive bending, picking and strumming you’ll stay in tune incredibly well. You can bend mistreat your strings to your heart’s content without having to worry about knocking other strings out of tune.

Performing with swift precision, this solid Poplar bodied guitar with a quilt maple top and a gloss transparent Green Burst finish lays claim to a Jackson HT6 string-through-body hardtail bridge with neck and bridge Humbuckers yet has a modest 1 x master volume, 1 x master tone, and 3-way blade pickup switch and standard strap buttons.

This guitar, manufactured in China, was first made available on January 18, 2020 and is also available in Transparent Black Burst and Transparent Purple Burst finishes.
