This is an old German putz squeaker toy.....it is an early wood chicken coop with lithograph paper brick roofing shingles and a large retangular fenced yard. It measures 5 inches tall by 11 1/2 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches deep. In the center, it has the original felt and feathered chicken or rooster. The wood bellow inside no longer squeaks.
Usually when you find these, you only see a version where you get just the center coop with the swinging door but this is the deluxe version where you get an auxillary fenced in chicken yard on both the left and the right of the center coop. In both the auxillary yards, there is a fixed paper mache yellow chicken sitting in the middle. In good condition as far as the parts, it has no unusual or musty odor. I feel like it probably could be restored as far as the squeaker but that is beyond my skillset. Would make a wonderful display item.
