For sale is this very nice Technics AM/FM Stereo Receiver Model SA-GX100 made in Japan in the early 90's. Tested and working perfect.
Cosmetically it's in very nice condition showing only minimal wear. Few scratches and scuffs here and there and one very minor dent in the front right above the "AM/FM" lettering in the face plate. Please look carefully at all the pictures and video for an exact description. Otherwise it sits and shows beautiful.
Tested and working great. All inputs/outputs working as they should. Fluorescent display is bright and clear. Volume, bass, treble and balance knobs have been cleaned and lubed for noise free operation. Thermal paste was replaced in the power amplifier IC and also the power transistors on either side of the heat sink to keep the unit running as cool as possible. This particular receiver has a Tape Monitor marked also as VCR-2, this is perfect if you want to add an equalizer or reverb system. AM/FM pulls in stations strongly only using a wire antenna, also the tuner section is equipped with a very unique feature called memory grouping it lets you divide saved radio stations into six separate groups classified by name, very neat feature. If you are into vinyl the phono section sounds very warm. Original Remote Control is included with the unit and it has also been cleaned inside and out and tested for full functionality. Volume Up/Down motor working perfect. Sound output is clean and clear as expected from a vintage Technics unit. Rated at only 40 Watts this little receiver will give any size speakers a good workout.
