RARE EARLY ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED HAWKES & SON LONDON

EXCELSIOR CLIPPERTONE TRUMPET CLASS A 

This silver plated trumpet is still in good condition despite being over 100 years old. The silver plating is worn in a few places around the valve bodies. The mother of pearl topped valves are in working order. 

the serial number 41352 shows it was manufactured between 1913 and 1920.(probably around 1915)

Hawkes & sons  were well respected innovative brass instrument makers  eventually merging with Boosey & Co.

The trumpet is also sold with three mouthpieces and a separate tuning slide.

It is in its original case  which has certain areas of damage.
