Soligor MC Wide-Auto 1:2.8 f=28mm ∅58mm

This is a Soligor 28mm f/2.8 wide angle macro lens for Nikon's common F mount (N/AI). It is in good condition.

• The filter ring on the front is slightly dented (see pictures), and thus, will deny screwing on a front filter- but does not hinder front lens cap operation.
• Lens is clean inside and out, with minimal internal dust.
• The focus ring operates smoothly from 0.36m (1.1 ft) - to ∞ infinity. Observed: closest focus distance is 12 inches.
• The aperture ring clicks through all f-stops, while the internal aperture blades are snappy and swift.
• The front/rear glass, and internal optics are clean and clear.
• The metal mount is shinny and clean.
• It comes with the original Soligor front (∅58mm) and rear lens caps

This is a manual focus lens for all Nikon DSLR and SLR cameras. It will work on all Nikon F-mount SLR and digital.

Used on my Nikon Df and D610 DSLR, this lens has the more modern AI F-mount which allows it to communicate f-stop to the SLR body's light meter.

FYI:The Auto feature of this lens, refers to the auto-aperture, which in somewhat laymen terms- _ - is the ability to keep luminosity (brightness of the image you see in the view finder) consistent regardless of the f-stop you have set for the exposure. When using a lens without an auto aperture feature, your view thru the view finder of your camera would become gradually darker as you increased your f-stop number.
