This very pretty little contemporary mantel clock is William Widdop (established in 1883). It features a small face with Roman numerals on a white background, with a gold effect surround and is sunken into a "bevelled" 24% lead crystal body.

The shape of the body of the clock is traditional arched design.

The clock has a quartz movement and is battery operated, but it is NOT CURRENTLY WORKING. It was bought for me as a present about 15 years ago, but as it was never to my taste or home style, it has never been out on display. I ASSUME IT JUST NEEDS A NEW BATTERY.

The clock shows no signs of scratches or flaws. It has been in its original box all the time, and kept in a cupboard. Its box, whilst in tact is somewhat grubby.

The size of the clock is: 8.3cm tall, 7.5cm wide at base, 3cm deep at the base. The clock face itself is 2.7cm dia & 3.4cm dia including the "gold edge". It is quite heavy, due to the lead crystal body.

This would make a lovely little clock for a mantel-piece, desk or bedside table.
