Three book lot. Approximate size for each book is 5.5 inches
wide, 8.250 inches tall, 2 inches thick. Titles and condition are as follows:
1. War
and Peace: No copyright date. Shaken spine. Soiling and staining to boards and
spine. Head and toe are bumped. Some chipping to head, toe, corners. Edges are
tanned with some soiling/staining. Page block sags forward and bottom edge
displays shelf wear. Pastedowns and flyleaves display heavy foxing, soiling,
shadowing. Previous owner’s bookplate on front pastedown. Writing on front and
back flyleaves. Underlining on page 25. Pages are tanned. I didn’t notice any
other notable defects or intrusive markings to the interior pages. Please see

2. The
Complete Works of Homer: 1950. Spine slant. Shaken spine. Soiling, scuffing,
foxing/staining to boards and spine. Head, toe, corners are bumped with some
chipping. Scuffing, tanning, foxing to edges. Page block sags forward and
bottom edge displays shelf wear. Heavy foxing and tanning to pastedowns and
flyleaves. Tanning to pages with light, sporadic foxing. I didn’t notice any
other defects or intrusive markings to the interior pages. Please see photos

3. The
Philosophy of Nietzsche: 1954. Cocked spine. Shaken spine. Heavy staining and
soiling to boards and spine. Bottom edge of back board is bumped. Head and toe
are bumped. Edges are tanned and soiled. Page block sags forward and bottom
edge displays shelf wear. Heavy foxing, shadowing, soiling to pastedowns and
flyleaves. Article taped to front pastedown (the article states 1120 pages.
This book has 1088 pages. There doesn’t appear to be any missing pages so I
think the article is from a different volume). Inscription on front flyleaf.
Gutter separation at title page and page 1086. Tanning to pages. I didn’t
notice any other defects or intrusive markings to the interior pages. Please
