Vintage 80s Made In Korea LP Style Electric Guitar

Here, we have a lovely 80s Korean made LP style guitar.  It came to me as a stripped-down body, and I've had to add all the hardware.  For once, I've left this one alone. I usually go to town and relic my projects, but this one has all the right wear and patina in all the right places, even the belt buckle scuff on the back. There is such a charm to  it, I just didn't want to go bowling straight in.

I did try to research what the guitar actually was, but akin to the Japanese manufacturers, the Korean makes number in a way where there's too many brands to pin it down to anything specific.

My builds all use a mix of new and used parts to keep in with a recycling/upcycling theme.  The only used part is the body itself.  Everything else is brand new.

The pickups are rated at 15k ohms and 8k ohms at the bridge and neck, so it gets pretty raucous at times.  I have the gain on my amp at about halfway,  but winding it back gives a really nice controlled tone. Everything runs through the classic 2V/2T pots, with a 3-way selector switch.

The body is an 80s unit, so it is entering the vintage stage of its life.  The build/rebuild has been a sympathetic one, and hopefully, it will live on for a few more decades.

All my builds look fantastic as a feature hanging on the wall of a mancave/she-shed,  but they are fully functioning guitars that are there to pick up and play.

This guitar can be seen and heard on my Instagram page: @johnsguitarprojects

The clip is from a reverse angle, and the guitar is actually righthanded.

Please feel free to message any questions or even make me an offer.  Many thanks for taking the time to have a look.
