This coat jacket is from my mother-in-law's estate. I think she would have purchased this in the early to mid 1970s at C.R. Cook in Peoria Illinois. She was in Europe in the 60s. Came back to Peoria in the early 70s.

It has a silky sheen to it that leads me to believe it’s mink. Please keep in mind that I am not a fur expert.  It’s a chocolate brown color with a ribbed and criss cross pattern. Fully lined with pockets. Button up closure.

Small

Measurements were taken with jacket buttoned and laying flat

20” armpit to armpit

17” across shoulders

28” length (shoulder to hem line)

23.5” sleeve length (shoulder to cuff hem line)

10” across sleeve opening (armpit to shoulder)

19” across waist

CONDITION - very good vintage condition. Buttons are original and secure. The lining has no holes or stains. There’s a small section round the collar that’s come undone and is pinned. The Outside is in very good condition, no stains or holes. Smells a little musty and slight perfume (my kids say it smells like grandma). No smoke or foul odors. Please look at photos to assess the condition for yourself.

Comes with the original C.R. Cook hanger and fabric bag for storage. The bag has a little rip at the top of it. Monogrammed Connie Smith

FUR NOTE - most of us agree that killing cute little animals for fur is really really bad in today’s world. However, purchasing vintage fur is a sustainable option to use resources that are pre-existing. It doesn’t make sense to throw them in the landfill.

SHIPPING NOTE- best way to ship this is UPS ground.
