This is a true VINTAGE 100 percent authentic NEW OLD STOCK Tom Peterson Kurt Cobain watch that came from the Tom Peterson store on SE 82nd Avenue and Foster Road here in Portland Oregon where Kurt Cobain obtained his iconic watch. THIS WATCH IS THE REAL DEAL, unlike the modern re-pop watches that are currently flooding the market.

This watch was made in Japan by MIYOTA CO. in the late 1980's for Tom Peterson and his promotional retail store sales. If you are looking for a period correct authentic collector watch for your Nirvana Kurt Cobain collection, this is your chance.

This watch was obtained in the early 1990's from Tom Peterson's bankruptcy trustee proceedings. The watch has been in dry storage for the past 30 years. The watch is new in unused condition.

The outer protective paper sleeve shows signs associated with long-term storage such as yellowing, staining, eater spot and corner crunching. The clear plastic watch case cover on this one has some very light micro scratching from the cardboard sleeve and long-term storage but no cracks or major damage...see last 2 pictures. The cae is clear on all sides displaying very well. The watch and inner case is in outstanding new old stock condition.

The watch dial measures 1-3/8" wide x 1-1/2" tall x 1/4" thick. The band is on the 2nd hole setting and measures 1-3/8" x 2-3/8" with several holes to make larger.

Please keep in mind that this is a 30 plus year old watch in new old stock condition that may show light cosmetic flaws from aging and long-term storage so please look carefully at the pictures and ask if you have questions or concerns. We are always happy to reply.

During time in storage, the original battery expired. We had a new Maxell SR626SW Silver Oxide Cell battery installed that exactly matches the original battery, and we are including the expired battery just in case there is collectible significance

The watch is now 100 percent operational and keeps good time. This is a 1 jewel Japan movement watch made by Miyota Co. This watch would make a great addition to any Nirvana fans memorabilia collection. We were able to find several online photographs of Kurt Cobain wearing his Tom Peterson watch, which has made these authentic watches very collectible.

Finding the real deal in NOS condition will eventually become harder as time goes on and these original watches will only climb in future value.
