1st Press Matrix numbers...

Side 1 = SHVL 814 A-1

Side 2 = SHVL 814 B-3

Early Mother stampers...

Side 1 = 3 GAA

Side 2 = 2 GRM

The outer sleeve is the first variant, which is noted by the pinched spine and is in lovely condition - There are no splits or tears and has a nice spine. Minor age wear, shows  dirt/discolouration.

The labels are the first variant which shows "Waters-Gilmour-Wright" song-writers credit for 'Shine on You Crazy Diamond' (Side 1 Part 5). Which was subsequently changed on later pressings for just "Waters". They are absolutely lovely and have amazing spindle holes, but would look even better with a professional clean.

The matrix numbers on the vinyl show that this is a UK first A1 B3 pressing. The mother stamper codes also suggest that the record was produced very early in the manufacturing line.

The original card inner sleeve, with a notch to the top edge and which is die-cut on three of the four corners is in nice condition for age. It has no rips or tears, is bright & vibrant with some age discolouration/dirt and a seam split starting to the bottom.

The vinyl has a superior glossy sheen in appearance, and sits flat to the surface. It is really beautiful with only a couple of light insignificant no feel surface lines. Stunning labels.

Completing this set is the often missing crinkle cut Postcard - it is beautiful, vibrant, almost perfect, just a couple of minor imperfections!

OVERALL, A STUNNING & EXCELLENT PIECE OF MUSICAL HISTORY TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION!!!
