DELIVERY

General Information

As our customer, you must ensure that the correct delivery address is entered at checkout, as parcels that are returned to City Beach as undeliverable may incur a re-dispatch fee and will be sent back out as regular mail. Freight charges paid for the original dispatch are not refundable.

City Beach does not ship internationally.

Bulky & Flammable Goods

Large items include, but are not limited to, travel bags, surfboards, body boards and cruiser skateboards, and will be shipped with Standard Mail by Australia Post.

Flammable goods include, but are not limited to, perfumes, fragrances, colognes & aerosols, and they are classed as Dangerous Goods. We can only deliver these items to mainland Australia as all deliveries must travel via Express Road Service with TNT couriers. Dangerous goods (DGs) are items that can cause problems during transportation, i.e. explosive, flammable or corrosive. Safety regulations prohibit many DGs from being shipped by air. City Beach does not offer Express Delivery for parcels containing DGs as they may be air transported, however we can deliver them by Express Road Service (TNT).

These orders cannot be sent to a PO Box address, it must be a residential or business address with the business name included in order. You will be notified via email with your tracking number. Please see below for shipping charges applied to bulky and flammable items.

The estimated delivery date for bulky and flammable items depends on your delivery address, and is calculated from the time you receive the shipping confirmation email, not from the time the order was placed.

The following are estimates only:

  • Express road service - 3 to 10 business days for metro areas.
  • Please allow up to 17 business days for rural areas.

If the Goods are delivered by courier, your parcel will be delivered during normal business hours.

Upon delivery, the goods must be signed for. If a signature cannot be obtained at the time of delivery, a card will be left informing you of how to collect the parcel during normal business hours.

Parcels will be held by the delivery service for their maximum hold time. Should you not respond to a calling card and the parcel is returned to City Beach as unclaimed, further freight charges may be payable for re-dispatch. Freight charges paid for the original dispatch are not refundable.

Once the Goods have arrived at City Beach's warehouse, it may take up to another 3 days for processing and dispatch. Once the order has been shipped, you will receive an email confirmation.

All Other Parcels & Products

Depending on the nature of the goods ordered, City Beach will arrange for delivery of the goods by Australia Post.

City Beach will endeavour to deliver the goods to your nominated delivery address within the time period specified when you place your order however City Beach will not be liable to you (our customer) or anyone else for any losses suffered or incurred due to delay.

City Beach endeavours to process all orders within the next business day however please allow up to 3 business days for your order to be processed and dispatched.

The estimated delivery date depends on your delivery address, and is calculated from the time you receive the 'Order Shipped' email and not from the time the Order was placed. The following are estimates only, and may vary based on the courier:

  • Express post - this will take 1 to 4 business days for metro areas and up to 6 business days for regional areas.
  • Standard mail - this will take 7 to 10 business days.

Please allow for a further 3 business days (in addition to the above) for delivery to remote areas as an estimate only.

Please note, delays may occur around Christmas, Easter and public holidays. Remote deliveries are subject to local transport schedules and may encounter extended delays. Please note that that there are limitations on all courier networks and some remote delivery addresses will not be serviced door-to-door. In these cases, the couriers will deliver to a local depot or Australia Post office and you will be contacted to collect your goods. Some remote locations such as islands can only be accessed by boat therefore normal shipping times do not apply.

The delivery dates are estimates only. City Beach will do all that it can to ensure delivery within the estimated dates, but factors such as public holidays and peak delivery times may not allow this to always be possible. Please note that while Australia Post provides a reliable national service, delivery delays can occur for a variety of reasons. If you are experiencing a longer than usual delay, please first enquire about your missing package at your local post office.

City Beach reserves the right not to accept an order, or having accepted an order, to cancel an order if it cannot supply the goods within the order.

Any damaged or lost orders are subject to an investigation carried out by the courier company. This investigation can take up to 10 business days and we must allow the courier company to complete their investigation before we can take any further action into the whereabouts of the parcel.

All Other Parcels & Products

Subject to the terms of any order, if City Beach cannot supply all items, you will be contacted and the rest of the order will be shipped.

Where an orders size exceeds packaging restrictions, the order may be sent in multiple parcels with multiple tracking numbers. Due to this the complete order may not arrive at the same time.

Shipping Charges

For all our customers whose delivery addresses are within Australia, we offer FREE standard shipping on orders $75 and over. A fee of $8.99 for regular shipping will be added to all orders placed under $75. Express shipping is available for $10.99.

Free shipping excludes Gift Card purchases, bulky and flammables items.

You will be able to see the freight costs at the checkout stage, before finalising your payment.

If required by City Beach, you must pay to City Beach the delivery fee (or such other fee as may be specified by City Beach) in respect of each order.

If your order includes Restricted Material where Australian law prescribes a minimum age to purchase such items, you must ensure that a person over the age of 18 years (or such other minimum age as is prescribed by the law) is available to accept delivery of these goods.

Bulky Shipping Charges

Additional charges apply to items deemed to be of a bulky shipping nature. City Beach reserves the right to change the charge values and the products they apply to without notification.

Where an order contains a combination of bulky and/or flammable and regular items, the whole order will be excluded from any free shipping promotion.

Bulky fees are charged on a per item basis. As the amount of bulky items increases, the shipping charge will increase.

Please note, bulky and flammable items are excluded from any free shipping promotions.

Damaged Deliveries

Subject to City Beach's return policy, City Beach will take all reasonable care to appropriately pack all orders, but will not be liable or responsible for any damaged goods or missing orders lost in transit.

Risk Title In The Goods

Subject to payment, property and risk in the goods passed to the customer upon delivery of the goods to the customer's nominated delivery address, anyone at the customer's nominated delivery address who receives the goods shall be presumed by City Beach to be authorised to receive the goods.

Free Shipping

Free standard shipping applies to orders $75 and over made within Australia, excluding gift card purchases, bulky and flammable items. Orders under $75 will incur a $8.99 fee for standard shipping. Express delivery is available for a fee of $10.99.

Free standard shipping is subject to change at City Beach's discretion.

Interpretation

In these terms and conditions:

  • "Account" means the personalised account created by the Customer on the Website enabling the Order of Goods.
  • "Agreement" means these terms and conditions, including the terms of any Order placed by the Customer through the Website (if applicable).
  • "Business days" means business days in Brisbane, Australia.
  • "City Beach" means Fewstone Pty Ltd ACN 010 496 465 trading as City Beach.
  • "Customer" means any person or persons who wish to or have used the website to place an Order.
  • "Goods" means any products described in an Order and includes packaging.
  • "Intellectual Property" means all rights in patent, copyright, trade names, trademarks, logos, designs, images (including photographs, videos, multimedia or films) or service marks (in each case whether registered or registrable).
  • "Material" means any information (including but not limited to data, source codes, and drawings) or images in any form (whether visible or not) stored on or used in connection with the Website.

Any reference in this Agreement to the singular includes the plural, to any gender including all genders, to any act or statute includes any act or statute which supersedes, replaces or modifies any earlier act or statute, to persons includes all bodies and associations both corporate and incorporated and vice versa, paragraph headings are for reference purposes only and all references to clauses are to clauses in this Agreement unless otherwise specified.

All references to dollar amounts are references to Australian Dollars (AUD).

RETURNS

Exchanges

We are happy to exchange your product/s. All we ask is that any product/s you are exchanging are in original condition with all tags attached, the packaging is intact, and your proof of purchase is included. Please note:

  • Earrings and pierced jewellery can only be exchanged / returned if deemed faulty or if the incorrect product was sent to you.
  • Swimwear and underwear can only be exchanged / returned in their original condition, clean, with all tags and protection stickers attached. All swimwear sets need to be returned in their original sets.

eBay (via post)

In order to exchange product/s bought online through our eBay store, you will need to follow a re-order and return process:

  1. Place an order for your new product/s straight away to avoid missing out!
  2. Send the product/s that you are exchanging back to us by following the online returns process below.

Please note that you will need to cover the shipping costs for your exchange parcel. City Beach is not liable for any items you return to us that are lost or damaged in transit.

Returns

You are welcome to return products bought online to our Online Returns Department (via post), for any reason. Product/s bought in-store can only be returned for a refund if they are deemed faulty or damaged, please see damaged, faulty or incorrect products for more info. Please note:

  • Earrings and pierced jewellery can only be exchanged / returned if deemed faulty or if the incorrect product was sent to you.
  • Swimwear and underwear can only be exchanged / returned in their original condition, clean, with all tags and protection stickers attached. All swimwear sets need to be returned in their original sets.

Online (via post)

Product/s bought online can be returned to our online store by following these simple steps:

  1. Print the Tax Invoice that we emailed to you in your shipping confirmation email.
  2. Fill out the Return Request Form that you received with your parcel or alternatively download Returns Form.
  3. Pack your product/s in their original condition, clean and with tags attached, together with these documents into a protected parcel (to avoid damage during transit).
  4. Post the parcel to our Online Returns Department:

Please note that you will need to cover the shipping costs for your return parcel. City Beach is not liable for any items you return to us that are lost or damaged in transit. Please note, if you decide to return your item, the original shipping costs for your order won’t be eligible for a refund.

Once we receive your product/s back into our Online Returns Department, we will assess the product/s to ensure that they meet our returns criteria. Once the assessment is completed and the returns criteria satisfied, we will issue a refund on the payment card or PayPal account used to purchase the product/s.

Your product/s may need to be sent to the manufacturer to be assessed before a decision can be made regarding an exchange or refund. In the event that this happens, our Customer Service team will stay in touch throughout the process. City Beach respects consumer rights under ACL and processes all warranty and non-warranty claims in accordance with legislative requirements.

Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Products

No one likes discovering that the product they bought is either damaged or faulty! In the unlikely event that this happens, we want to resolve the matter as quickly as possible and with minimal inconvenience to you, our customer. We understand that products might have been worn prior to discovering a fault with it. Please ensure that clothing has been washed and footwear cleaned before returning it to us.

Damaged, faulty or incorrect product/s returned within 14 days of purchase will be refunded or exchanged at your discretion. If you return product/s after 14 days, they will need to be assessed by our Returns Department. We will always endeavour to resolve the issue as soon as possible, but in some instances your item may need to be assessed by the Supplier. Supplier Assessment may take up to 28 days.

For Online Purchases:

If you have received an incorrect item or a damaged item, please contact us via eBay messages Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (AEST)

Then follow the online returns process . A Customer Service Team Member will contact you as soon as we receive your parcel. City Beach will refund the purchase price of the faulty, damaged or incorrect product and cover your return shipping costs. Please return products via standard post, unless otherwise arranged with our Customer Service Team. In instances where you have requested an exchange instead of a refund we will ship the product to you at no additional cost. Please note, if you decide to return your item, the original shipping costs for your order won’t be eligible for a refund.

There are a few things to note:

  • We understand that products might have been worn prior to discovering a fault with it. Please ensure that clothing has been washed and footwear cleaned before returning it to us.
  • Bulky products follow a slightly different process, so please contact our Customer Service team for assistance.
  • Products of a technical nature may seem faulty when in fact they are not, for example updating Go Pro software may resolve a potential issue. Contact our Customer Service team before returning technical products for additional information.
  • We are happy to assist with repairs. We will send non-warranty or out of warranty products purchased from City Beach to the relevant supplier, at your expense, to be evaluated for a repair. Please note that the original purchase receipt or tax invoice will be required. City Beach will contact you with a supplier repair quote and it's up to you if you would like to proceed with the repair, at your expense, or have the product returned to you, at your expense. The repair and return timeframes are dictated by the supplier and are out of our control.

In the event that the product you have returned is not deemed to have a manufacturing fault, we are unable to refund your shipping costs. If you are unsure about whether a product has a manufacturing fault please feel free to call our Customer Service Team before sending it back to us.

The City Beach Refund Policy in no way limits your rights as a Consumer as outlined by the ACL.
