Lift the dot tool
To cut into the canvas and act as a hole punch
This tool will punch the holes in your canvas in the shape of the Lift the Dot socket to make fitting the fasteners a simple task. A nifty little idea is to have a magazine under your canvas, some people use a block of wood but I find placing a magazine like a TV times or similar between the wood and canvas helps. Then place the tool in the area you want to cut the hole and strike with a hammer
Made by J Clarke Marine Ltd. This tool has been trailed and tested as I was not happy with the current ones on the market. This one is much sharper and cuts a lot better. Made from heavy duty nylon it is extremely robust. Coming from a cover making background I understand its important to have the correct tools for the job.
This Lift the Dot tool is to be used only with Lift the Dots. Will not fit Turnbuttons. We have another tool for turnbuttons in our shop
