These are not cheap knock offs but legit parts with the CORRECT tolerances that will prevent leaks.  Buying non-fluval parts can result in your filter leaking and damage to your home.  Please keep that in mind when trying to save money with counterfeit parts.  If the packaging does NOT say Fluval, buyer beware.

This is new and genuine part by Fluval. (It is coiled up in the package)  It is the motor Head O-ring gasket Seal Ring that is for the main motor head where the top and bottom of the filter meet.  This will work for these Fluval canister filter models:

 304, 404, 

305, 405

306, 406

307, 407 

NO WORRIES!  Both models 307 and 407 which are the new Fluval Series Filters uses the same part as the others, they just call it A20064.  This was confirmed with Fluval.

HINTS:

When removing from package, there will be some lubricant on the gasket.  However, in between maintenance, make sure to lubricate Motor Head (“O” Ring) gasket using an inert lubricant (i.e. Fluval Silicone Lubricant #A325 or vegetable oil). Do NOT use petroleum jelly based products. 


 Yearly replacement ensures optimal performance. 


 The Motor Head Gasket (“O” Ring) will deteriorate over time and must be replaced yearly to avoid the potential for leaks.
