Period full leather binding, slightly raised & gilt bands, gilt compartment decorations, gilt title lettering on contrasting black leather label, embossed ruled covers, marbled edges and end papers.

Book is physically old and shows some clear signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition.

Binding gently age worn, front joint cracked, covers still firmly and strongly held, leather gently rubbed and scuffed, spine ends chipped, remains overall attractive as an object.

Text block paper is gently toned, internally still clean, well preserved, tight, sound.

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
