James Thurber's whimsical "collection of the Master's Dogs, written and drawn, real and imaginary, living and long ago." First edition, first printing, 1955, in very good condition with a dust jacket that still is vibrant, although torn and chipped. The boards are clean and bright, the gold decorated dog on the front cover and gold title on the spine both look new almost 70 years later. The coloring of the top edge (head) of the book is still bright and vibrant. Two spots on the edges of the spine (at the top and middle) show some discoloration. This is a very nice affordable copy of a classic work by one of America's greatest humorists.
