This rare find is the Methodist Episcopal Hymnal from 1882, by Nelson & Philips. The hardcover book contains a collection of hymns focused on religion and spirituality. It is a wonderful addition for collectors of antiquarian and collectible books, and those interested in books and magazines of historical value. It measures 3 x 5. No rips or tears. No dog ears and no stains with the exception of right inside the first page cover and both last page and inside cover for book. Edges have some wear.
The next hymnal, The Believers Hym Book has no date that I could see but I am pretty sure it is from 1880's from others I have seen. The cover is leather but not hardback and the edges are gilted. No rips or tears or stains but the cover as been repaired in the back. This is a pocket version as well with measurements of 3 x 5 This one was published by Pickering and Inglish London LTD
