If you are unfamiliar with installation of guitar parts or
it’s your first time soldering it would be best to have someone who is a
professional to install your item. If solder ends up in the wrong
place it could make your item non- functional. Or there’s the possibility
of making wires loose that need to be connected. Of course I’ll be
glad to answer any questions and will send instructions and talk you through it
if need be.
There are many different Strat bodies depending on where they
were made. This pickguard might require light modifications as to where
the screws go.
All pots and switches have been treated with a conductive
lubricant to prevent moisture damage and crackle in the pots.
I don't like to bore people with my life history but I
have been playing guitar and bass for over 30 yrs. My father was also a
guitar player and his band opened for the Allman Brothers , Grateful
Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Procal Harum, Captain Beefheart, 13th Floor Elevators and
Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green etc.
I put as much creativity and innovation in the
pickguards that I make as possible making each one different and adding
features that allow you to get as many sounds combinations as possible.
