This illustrated book measures 8 1/4 by 10 3/4 inches and is in fair condition. There is wear on the decorative soft covers and on the spine edges. Inside the front cover is a name (see photo 2). The center page is loose from the staple binding (see photo 5). The interior is clean. Some pages have small tears on the edges, but these tears did not affect any printed material or illustrations. All other pages are free from writings, marks or stains and are secure to the binding. 

 “Scarecrow and Tin-Man” is a collection of vintage children’s tales illustrated by the Stovers. The title story follows the adventures of the two titular characters as they escape from a Broadway theater where they are appearing. The book also includes other stories such as “Slovenly Peter,” “Slovenly Betsy,” and “Cruel Paul” among others.
