A stunning 1^st edition set of F. Edward Hulme’s Familiar Wild Flowers, Series 1-5. The books are bound in very attractive pictorial and gilt cloth boards, the page edges are gilt. The books are undated, but I believe this binding was used on the first edition from 1883 and were published by Cassell & Company. Each volume ( series ) is packed full of 40 colour illustrations in each.

 

Condition

The condition is very good. There is slight shelf wear to the top and bottom of the spine. A number of the frontispieces are detached, but present. There are some light marks / spotting to the boards, predominantly the rear covers.
