For your consideration is a Hasselblad 503CX medium format camera. This has the "*" star designation after the 503CX on the body, which means it is a made for the Japanese market (this was sourced from Japan) and is pristine imo. The 503 models allow for communication for flash units and light meters. These are more advanced than the 500cm but are just as reliable and allow for more attachments (i.e. electronic hand grips etc). This has two special items: 1) acute matte focusing screen (it has some wear on glass in circle like area of scuffs that are visible in the viewfinder but will not appear on the film negatives); and 2) the PME 5 viewfinder with built in light meter. They sell for about $400 alone (of course, you can swap it out for a waist level viewfinder). The PME 5 viewfinder takes a small battery inside the left button, as the right is the battery test & light meter. It uses the EV system and there are youtube tutorials (super easy). It gives a 45 degree corrected image and allows eye level shooting. This is essential for portraits. The inner black doors of the camera have wear to the black material on the doors, common and purely cosmetic. What is unique is the black borders where the film back is attached have almost no visible paint loss. People usually push the film back on. You are supposed to side the button to the right and gently place it on to avoid damage (that is how you know this camera has not had much use). There are, of course, minor imperfections to the camera like scuffs, small scratches typical for one that dates to about 1990 as per the serial number. But as you can see, this is one clean camera. The only thing I can point out is the leatherette on the film back has a little gap on both left & right side edges (see last two pictures). It is purely cosmetic. This camera comes with a 6x6 film back (circa 1991 with matching serial numbers in back & insert). The dark slide has some scuffs, scratches, but these are interchangeable and purely cosmetic. I am not aware of any problems with this camera. This is adult owned and never around smoke, pets or children. You can bid with confidence.

Although the item is in very good condition, be aware that very minor scratches, scuffs, scrapes can be present. Please look at the photos and/or videos, as they are part of the description. I try to point out any blemishes, but pictures are there in case I miss one. Sold as is with no return to US states only (I do not sell to buyers who use 'proxy addresses' to ship to other locations i.e. shipper x who then sends it to China, so don't tell me that Joe's shipping company is 'your address' - your bid will be cancelled). Ships USPS with tracking and insurance (or equivalent) to official address only. Packages must be signed for. I am not responsible for items damaged, lost or stolen in post office care. The package will be insured in that event so you will need to file a claim should that occur, which you agree to do if you purchase this item.
