Chapman & André map of Essex 1777 and The Art of the Map-maker in Essex 1566 – 1860, both published by Essex County Council Record Office, as follows; 

A reproduction of a map of the County of Essex 1777 by John Chapman & Peter André, produced as a large format volume, as publication no. 11 in 1950. The map is reproduced in sections and there are 28pp, including a two page introduction within a light card cover. The contents are good and the covers have some tanning, spotting and a little creasing. 

The Art of the Map-Maker in Essex 1566 – 1860 was produced as a larger format volume in 1947 as publication no. 4. There are 25pp text, with details of maps produced during the period, a list of illustrations and reference books, a colour frontispiece and 30 plates, of which five are in colour. The contents are good, save for slight damage to the borders of several pages where they had lightly stuck together, and the covers with a protector, with a couple of tape marks to the front pastedown, which has preserved the unclipped d/w. 1.000
