The Torc T14 Mako is a modern aerodynamic shell. It has a slight point in the center chin area giving it the ability to slice through the air at highway speeds.

Shown above is the optional Dark Smoke shield available for the T14. The shield is a flat panel, optically correct shield with tabs for both the left or right hand to open the shield. The shield is easy to install and remove without the need for cumbersome tools.

The rear stabilizer is breakaway using no glue or adhesive. The design was tooled this way so that in the event of an impact the parts would shear from the outside of the shell with little resistance. This makes the shell even more rounded, eliminating catch points that can cause problems.

The T14 Mako uses the Torc 'Smoothlock' sun shield control system. This helmet comes with a sun shield that is controlled by a braided cable system that 'locks' both in the 'open' and 'closed' positions. There are springs that could break or wear out. The design is similar to the clutch or break cable on your bike.

Light Weight Shell

The DOT & ECE Certified shell is extremely light weight. The size large helmet is 1470 (+-50) grams, making it one of the lightest helmets.

3D lazer contoured liner

The liner of the helmet, which is fully removable and washable is 3D lazer contoured for maximum fit and comfort. The liner is an anti-microbial treated technical fabric which has terrific moisture wicking properties.

Can you treat the shield with Rain-X or will it damage the visor?
  • The outside has a regular clear shield, rain x wouldn't do damage to it. The inside smoke visor is INSIDE, under the shield, so no need to use rain x on it because if it WAS RAINING (even with sun shining), one would have their OUTSIDE SHIELD DOWN. 
Does the helmet have dual visors, smoke and clear?
  • No.  It has a regular clear shield and a smoke flip down visor under that
How is the noise level?
  • Very low
Does the front of the helmet lift up?
  • No this is not a modular helmet.
What kind of strap does the helmet have?
  • Uses a snap
Does the helmet come with bluetooth or will I have to buy that separately?

How loud anc clear is the music?
  • The speakers are awesome!  And the quality of the microphone for the Bluetooth is incredible.  Even with the wind blowing, driving down the freeway, you can whisper into the microphone and it's clear sounding.
