Intro:
The Good Life stars Richard Briers and Felicity Kendal as Tom and Barbara Good, a middle class suburban couple who on Tom's 40th birthday decide to turn their Surbiton home into a self sufficient allotment. They grow their own food, keep farm animals and have sold or bartered all of their electrical appliances as they have no electricity.

This creates friction with their best friends and next door neighbours, the Leadbetters (Jerry and Margo) played by Paul Eddington and Penelope Keith. But even though the Goods have lowered the tone of the neighbourhood in the Leadbetters eyes, they still can't help but be best of friends.

Description:
 Celebrating 35 years since its original broadcast, and available for the first time in series order, this is the comedy series that put organic foods, self-sufficiency and green thinking on the map.

On his 40th birthday, Tom Good (Richard Briers) decides that he's had enough of the rat race, and that he and his wife Barbara (Felicity Kendal) should become self-sufficient. Overnight they begin to convert their suburban garden into a farm, complete with crops, pigs and chickens, homemade beer and more. But their choice of lifestyle doesn't exactly fit in with the neighbours, in particular Margo Leadbetter (Penelope Keith) and her henpecked husband Jerry (Paul Eddington) who find themselves hindering, but even sometimes helping against their better judgement.

Unique in its vision, consistent in its comedy, this is entertainment at its finest, the kind that only comes with THE GOOD LIFE.

The fourth and final series release included here also contains the 1977 Christmas Special, and the 1978 Royal Command Performance which was filmed before The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh

1. Shipping time:
If your item is to be sent to/from an International destination your delivery tends to take about 2-4 weeks.

If you have not received your goods at close of business approx. 6-8 weeks after shipping (see date quoted by post office after which we can lodge a complaint in delivery estimate email), please get back to me ASAP so I can chase it up for you.

 NB: DVDs that are sold as Region 2/4 (or 1/4) are dual layered. The packaging often only lists Region 2 (or Region 1) but these DVDs should be playable on all Region 4 DVD players. But may not play on devices such as X-Box, PC's. Mac's and Playstations.
 


 

 

3. Handling time:

  1. Goods in stock are typically shipped within 2 business days after payment is received.

  2. Note that goods sent from different countries may have different holidays than Australia.

4. Refunds/Replacements:

IMPORTANT DVD INFORMATION FOR MY US & CANADIAN CUSTOMERS:

As per the auction these are Europe Region 2 DVDs (US/Canada are Region 1) and you need a multi-regional (multi-zone) DVD player to play them!

BUT don't panic just yet :-)

Many DVD players are easy to unlock.
Let me know the brand and model number of your DVD player so I see if there is a simple unlock code for your player.

Many of my US/Canadian customers chose to play or copy these DVDs on a PC before playing them.

I also see there are many economical Multi Region DVD players on EBay ($35-50).
Just do a search if you wish.

It seems a shame to let go of this great DVD set.
