Garden State Bulb Pink Beauty Hydrangea Bare Roots come directly from our farms and growers in the US. When planted, hydrangeas are a dense shrub with large, round flower clusters that bloom into beautiful shades of pink. Even better, they provide these eye catching blooms for extended periods of time! This means they bloom pretty pink for months, and grow up to 6 feet tall, making them a perfect focal point or privacy barrier for any entryway or garden! Hydrangeas are also ideal as cut flowers for bouquets and vases, and grow best in partial shade with well drained soil. Please note, it can take 1 to 3 years to reach full maturity size.

Planting Instructions:
    1. Plant hydrangeas in the spring after the ground has thawed and there is no longer danger of frost.
    2. Choose a location with well-drained soil that receives partial sun to partial shade. Loosen soil prior to planting.
    3. Remove plant from packaging and lightly loosen the bottom of the root ball to release the roots. Dig a hole in loosened soil as deep as the roots and about twice as wide. Be sure the hole is large enough to encompass the roots without bending them.
    4. Place plant in hole with the roots down and the crown/top of the roots about 1"" below soil surface. Space plants 5-6’ apart.
    5. Cover with soil and water well so that the soil settles. Keep soil moist during periods of dry weather but do not overwater.
     Special Growing Instructions:
Soil pH affects flower color. Acidic soil (pH lower than 6.0) promotes blue or lavender-blue flowers. Alkaline soil (pH above than 7.0) yields purple to bluish-pink flowers.
