You are bidding for original vintage 35mm stainless steel coin edge (flat bezel) case LONGINES Calatrava Ref. 5030, powered by manual winding Cal. 12.68Z, wristwatch, made early 1940s. Featuring original dial, that has aged to a handsome creme brûlée colour. Paired with modern beads-of-rice stainless steel bracelet. Comes with original archive extract from Longines.

Information from Longines’ handwritten archives: “The original serial number 6’238’883 identifies a wristwatch in stainless steel bearing the reference 5030 and the order number 21762. It is fitted with a Longines manually wound mechanical movement, caliber 12.68Z. It was invoiced on 6 March 1942 to the company Ostersetzer, which was at that time our agent for Italy.”

C. Three-body, stainless steel, fixed/wired lugs, snap case back; D. aged silvered dial, outer minute track to the 1/5th of second and a subdial for the small second (at 6 o’ clock), Arabic numerals, blued steel leaf hands. M. Cal. 12.68z, 17 jewels, bimetallic balance. Dial, case, and movement signed. Dim. 35 mm. 

Watch is in overall good condition 7/10, running and ready to wear or gift!
