Pause button needs adjusting internally, wants to get stuck in down position. Needs to be opened up and cleaned. When knobs are turned there is some interference heard. Probably dusty, etc. External front metal panel needs cleaning as well as meter screens and cassette door. Both channels seem to work and lights all come on. External outs on rear for speakers both work. Playback head should probably be adjusted because when an original professionally recorded tape is played the sound seems to improve if you lightly pull the bottom of the tape as it plays. The quality of the sound improves quite a bit when you do it. That tells me it isn't tracking like normal and needs adjustment. Finally, the cabinet needs attention. Some new self stick woodgrain would go a long way, and it wouldn't cost very much. I am not a professional in these things it is only my opinion. This is an AS IS item.
