HERE ARE 3 NICE FACE GROUND THEN  POLISHED FIRE AGATE CABS  TOTALING ABOUT 17.7 CARATS IN WEIGHT.  THE COLOR IN THE PICTURES ON THESE PIECES IS PRETTY ACURATE BUT IT WAS HARD TO SHOW THE FIRE FLASH!  THESE PIECES ARE FROM MEXICO AND WERE DUG BACK IN THE EARLY 90S!!

The first stone I ever cut was a fire agate. I personally collected it off the desert over around Safford New Mexico back when you could still find them back around 1960. I didn't get to cut it until around 1982 when I finally could afford to get the equipment to do it.  I started selling at rock shows in about 1984 and did the rock show in Walla Walla, WA.  I met a naturalized mexican there in about 1993 and he had an uncle that had a fire agate mine in Mexico. I never found out where but to make a long story short I ended up buying all the good material that came out of the mine for a period of 4 years.  I used to cut hundreds of them.  I would normally grind them to approximate final face shape and then polish them and sometimes throw in a tumbler before I decided how to finish them out. I cut and sold hundreds of them but still have many of them that I never finished on out. Each of these listed pieces  have been almost totally finished and could be mounted just the way they are.  They have simply been face ground to the finished shape and then tumble polished and are ready to mount in a custom setting.  These should easily be worth $100 and much more when finish mounted in jewelry.  The 3 pieces total about 17.7 carats in weight and the longest one is almost  3/4" long  in its longest dimension.  All these pieces have really nice color flash and the colors of these are mostly a bit of lavender, gold, yellow, orange, and green.  The really good fire flash is easily located.  I took the pictures with the pieces dry so you could see them better but didn't do a very good of job of it because I still don't have the lighting right for them.  This old dig material is not easy to get now.  So I am going to list these at a starting bid of $26.99 which only figures out to $9 each which is only a little over the amount that I paid per piece in the rough about 27 years ago.  These are all really nice pieces and  I don't think you will find a better deal anywhere.    Look at the pictures which were taken with the pieces dry.  All the pictures were taken inside under light shining on them through the window in my shop and with light from an LED light shining on them from above.  Then you can decide for yourself what they are worth.

I most likely will ship all my pieces USPS priority mail or by first class mail with tracking.   If you are unhappy with a purchase of any of my pieces, please contact me and I will gladly discuss what can be done to correct the problem. I want to have happy long term customers. Please don't leave negative feedback until you attempt to resolve any problems with me. I have decided I need to tell my customers that I do combine shipments for multiple items for a week or two if you want to try to bid on other items and cut your shipping costs.   Thanks for looking at my rocks.
