You recieve four leaf segments, easy to root.  Each from 1.5 to 3 inches long. 
Rhipsalis species from Gamboa, Santa Catarina, Brazil.  This is an epiphytic species from lowland, coastal forest that is quite dense and home to many epiphytes such as bromeliads, orchids and aroids as well as several species of Rhipsalis.  This plant is shrub-like with upright stems that later droop and hang, having oblong, flattened segments with crenate margins.  New growth is reddish. Flowers are small white ones that grow on the leaf margin. Can be raised by cuttings or seeds from the berries that follow the flowers.
