Item Description:

Up for auction is this wonderful, vintage, cardboard dime saver stocking.  Produced by Walker-Clay of Brockton, Massachusetts in the 1970's, stocking is in excellent condition and appears never to have been used.  Stocking was a giveaway for the Central Security National Bank of Lorain County, Ohio to encourage children to save their dimes.  In addition to the ten slots for dimes there is a small slot for a bill or check.  Stocking measures approximately 5 7/8" long and 2 1/4" wide at the top.  Please view our photos carefully as they are part of the description.  Any reflections, white spots or irregular looking shading patterns in the photos (amplified when using the enlarge feature) are due to glare from outdoor light.  Please view our other auctions for more vintage Christmas items.  This is the second of several vintage holiday auctions we expect to be having in the months ahead so please stay tuned.

Our Policies - Please Read Carefully:

Buyer pays first class or priority shipping which includes insurance based on the initial listing price.  We will combine shipping if feasible, but should you win multiple items, please do not make a payment until you've received an invoice from us as we'll need to recalculate the shipping.  Payment due within 2 days of close of auction.  We will not end an auction early as everyone should have a fair chance to bid.  Our items are vintage and we do not sell reproductions or what is often referred to as "old store stock" unless otherwise noted.  Any factory flaws or imperfections will be noted to the best of our ability.  Please ask any questions before bidding and be sure to check out all of our photos as they are part of the description.  Items come from a smoke free home and will be packed with great care.  Sorry, no international sales!
