Handsome
fold-out 1968 Texaco road map of Oklahoma, printed more than 48 years
ago.
- The map opens to 18" x 27"
and has great detail on highway
alignments, including U.S. Route 66, with cartography by H.M. Gousha.
- On the reverse side there's a transcontinental driving
map of the
United States, along with inset plans of Bartlesville, Enid, Ardmore,
Muskogee, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City.
- The map was distributed by Texaco in 1968 and is dated in
the legend.
The code number in the lower margin is 8-PP, and little "T" symbols
locate Texaco gas stations on major highways.
- There's a Howard Johnson's ad on the back cover, with
addresses of two
Howard Johnson's locations, in Norman and Oklahoma City.
- Condition: This map is in excellent
condition,
bright and clean, with no
