Machines were, it may be said, the weapon employed by the capitalist to quell the revolt of specialized labor.

At the zenith of American radical politics in the period leading up to the World War, there were few publishers printing such literature. Here we offer a book by one of those publishers, Charles H Kerr and Company, Chicago. The book is The Poverty of Philosophy, by Karl Marx. The book is undated, but I have estimated a 1904 publishing in line with other similar titles by this company.  The book bears Kerr's torch blindstamp at the center of the front board.

Soiled boards have edge wear, bumps, and light stains (please see pics). Endpapers are intact and uninscribed. Binding is very tight and square. Text pages are very clean, bright, and crisp. 227 pages.  Measures approximately 7.75 x 5.5-inches.

This will make a wonderful addition to your collection or a very special gift.
