Vintage Doulton Lambeth Style Stoneware tobacco jar 6"

Doulton Lambeth stoneware jar has a salt glaze finish. The iconic English designs are, as follows: a drinking man with flagon, a windmill, a man drinking at a wine barrel table, a gnarled tree, a man smoking a long clay pipe...
all beautifully applied in sprig relief to the sides. The lid has vine or tobacco leaves decoration. The base and lid are both marked with a 'J'.
