What is it?

Hand-wired Late 1960's style Stratocaster wiring harness upgrade for American or Mexican Fender Stratocasters

-This wiring set up features CTS dish back 250k vintage style potentiometers, a .05uf ceramic disk capacitor like what was used in Fender Stratocasters during the late 60's, a 3 way switch, and vintage style pull back cloth wire.  It was around 68-69 that fender change from the .1uf capacitors to .05 and .047.

-When compared to modern strats with .022 caps, the .05uf ceremic disc capacitor affects a wider sweep on the the high and upper mid frequencies.  When the tone is all the way up on 10 you will notice the sound is a little warmer with slightly rounded off highs   The tone is quite a bit brighter with more treble when compared to strats in the 50's through most of the 60's with a .1 cap.

-Wired to vintage spec with a master volume, the middle tone controls the neck pickup and the bottom tone controls the middle pickup. There is no tone for the bridge pickup.

-The CTS dish back vintage style pots have a shorter threaded bushing designed for a stratocaster pickguard.  The backs of the pots have the 'dish back' indent like many of the pots used in the 50's and 60's.

-This has a 3 way switch like the strats in the 50's and 60's.  Fender switched to the 5 way switch in the mid 70's.  If you prefer a five way switch feel free to send me a message.
