I honestly think a photograph speaks a thousand words so I won't attempt to describe the condition in detail, but ask you to examine the photos, I have taken plenty that cover most, if not all, aspects. Seller’s comments: This book is a bit odd:- if you've looked at all the pictures, taken in the order they appear in the book then maybe you'll agree? The title page of vol 2 is shown before vol 1? My opinion is that it has been re-bound and that whoever did it, did it badly! I think the original volumes should have frontispieces but they are not there and the order of title pages is obviously wrong. However, all the pages after the vol 1 title page are all in order, as are the plates and illustrations. So please look carefully at the pictures, it is still an attractive half leather bound book.
