The Pobeda watch brand was conceived and produced in connection with the anniversary of the victory of the USSR in the Great Patriotic War, starting from 1946, and the name itself and even all the technical parameters were approved by Stalin himself (in 1945).
The marking of the mechanism of this watch sounded K-26. It was assembled on the famous French caliber R-26, which was sold by the watch company Lip, and it was this mechanism that turned out to be very, very successful both constructively and in terms of operation - it was possible to make one winding for two days, which was rare at that time .
In those days, buying a Pobeda watch was a great success, since they were just starting to be produced and were not on sale everywhere. Usually in such a mechanism there were 15 stones made of artificial ruby, besides, the dial had not a central but a side second hand.
