This antique box from the 18th century is a Bilston enamel patch pill box that was made in the United Kingdom. It features a hand painted bird in the trees to the hinged lid . Typical Georgian enamel on copper box made in Bilston. Internally a mirror set inside the lid so that the user can accurately place the beauty spots or patches.


These boxes due to fragility, age and construction are very often found damaged . It is rare to find one in such good condition . This one is in excellent condition . The mirror has some blemishes due to age , there is no chips or damage to the enamel with just some light crazing . An exceptional example .
