Here's something that doesn't come up everyday! This listing is for a set of two Dollhouse Miniature Rooms that are custom made in  canisters by Jon Fish and Larry Osborn "The Guys from Texas." Larry Sadly passed away in 2019. These canisters were part of a three piece canister set known as "Mamma's Kitchen" and were featured at by the Good Sam Miniature Showcase in 2015. I have shared a photo from that post - photo credit goes to them. NOTE THAT ONLY THE TEA AND SUGAR CANISTERS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING.

I had a conversation online with Jon Fish about these canisters, as I wanted to learn more about them. Jon did teach a couple workshops several years ago that used these kits. But, he also made full sets himself which he sold only in a full set. Considering these two canisters came in a box with The Guys from Texas name and address as the return address and the fact that I was told by the original owner that there was a flour container that was given to a family member, I still believe these may have been made by Jon. However, without a signature (which may have been on the Flour canister) I can't be sure whether these were made from a kit from Jon and Larry, or made by Jon and/or Larry themselves. In consideration of that I am lowering the opening bid. Please message me if you have any questions - hopefully I have explained this clearly.

Jon Fish still makes amazing custom miniature room boxes and houses and is extremely talented. His talent shines through in the quality of these little canisters. Truly, when I first saw them, I thought they were made of plastic but they are not! They are made of wood and the fit and finish is that good! I believe these to be 1:48 Scale. The doors in the rooms measure approximately 1 7/8 inches tall with the trim. It was difficult to line the measuring tape up, so this is only an approximation. The lids lift off the expose the electric and from there the plexiglass front can be slid out of the fronts to decorate the rooms. These canisters light up and are wired to each other, so they need to stay together unless you do some changes to the wiring. I took images of them lit on my kitchen counter. The wallpaper in the Sugar container is so retro - the dishes on it look like Fiestaware. I could see this kitchen done up with miniature Fiestaware pieces by Debbie Young! Don't miss out on your chance to add these to your small scale collection.
