Comes in an ebonite finish which is coated in urushi lacquar and gold plated trim. I see no s cratches, no chips, no cracks, no repairs and it is not personilzed. The gold band at the bottom of the cap reads NAMOKI JAPAN and shows a chain like design (sorry but I could not get clear photos of this gold band). The cap screws on and off the barrel with no problem.

The 24K nib looks to be in wonderful condition. It reads 14K-585 NAMIKI <SM>

The pen comes with a converter which works perfectly. I used it to flush out much of the old blue ink but I'm sure some still remains.
